Is it Heaven, no it’s Iowa: Ryan & Anne’s Wedding

Anne originally is from Iowa, but has been living in Austin TX, where she met Ryan.  It was so much fun meeting them both and they were the ideal clients, fun loving and let me get creative with them!!

The wedding at her mom’s place in rural Newton was gorgeous and of course the Isaac Walton League provided an awesome backdrop for mother nature’s perfect day!  What also made it perfect was these two people.  Ryan is the consummate Southern gentleman, whose chivalry is becoming a lost art.  So refreshing to see a man who truly puts his partner’s needs ahead of his!!  Anne, on top of being beautiful and so much fun to photograph is an incredibly talented singer and musician, some of which she shared with us the wedding day!  On a special note, I hope these wedding images help Ryan’s parents, who came all the way from Texas and then had a medical issue prevent them from being able to be present.  I have to say they were truly present in so many ways, Ryan’s family that was there made sure they were getting updates.  Rhette, Ryan and their grandparents were such reflections of what I am sure Ryan’s folks are.  I found it a profound honor to help them participate in the day.

Enjoy these images and leave a comment for the couple and a memory if you were there!

Rob & Kristin’s Wedding in Des Moines

I am a week behind in my blogging but I wanted to make sure Rob and Kristin’s wedding got on here because it was such a neat affair.  Their wedding was a unique combination of very relaxed and fun but also a very well put together event.  The reception at the downtown Marriott Des Moines was gorgeous.  Rob and Kristin were both looking awesome and the family and friends were great to work with.  I appreciate being a part of your day!!

Leave them a comment and tell them a memory of the day!!

Nate Morgan: In the Woods

Nate is a good friend to Dakota who I photographed last Spring.  we went out to a location where they both hang out a lot and got some crazy, off-beat and some just plain nice shots of Nate in a location that means a lot to him…plus a few silly ones in studio.

Enjoy Nate’s Senior Pictures!
